Costa Rica: Day 8

Hard to believe how quickly this week of VBS flew by!
Today's theme was "God Sends Me"

Pass the balloon relay

Paul came to visit us and share his story of how God sent him out to do ministry

Today's science/craft illustrated how animals migrate as they are pulled toward an invisible magnetic field- just as God draws us to him and sends us out to do his work.

With 2nd and 3rd grade group showing off their finished projects "Puffed up on God's Love"

Can't miss out on the opportunity for a silly picture!

 Parachute fun!

Jenny and friends!

It is evident Val is well respected and a "legend" here on the Sojourn campus

Today's lunch was strawberry juice and heart of Palm rice (boiled part of the Palm tree and ham pieces with a cream sauce over the rice) and a side of Spanish squash.

We met with Ms Courteney, Sojourn Curriculum coordinator, in her office after lunch. She wanted to thank us for our efforts this week and share a prayer request for one of our campers who came Monday "Julian" that was diagnosed Thursday with leukemia. We had a time of prayer for him.

Sophia brought her mom's phone out and said we needed to take a picture together.

Afterwards we tore down and cleaned up around the rooms we used.

This evening the school secretary invited us into her home. She fixed "meat soup" which was beef cooked with potatoe like vegetables, corn, a pumpkin like vegetable and rice. It was quite tasty.  The juice she served was made of cas fruit. To me it tasted kiwi like.
