Tomorrow I will embark on a life changing journey to Maua, Kenya....
It honestly seems surreal. I've always had a desire to travel to Africa. God gave me the desire of my heart a lot sooner than I expected. Everything fell into place for me to go on the trip and I know there is no other explanation than God's perfect timing and orchestration.
Tomorrow will begin a 16 day journey to a foreign land God has called as to- to be his hands and feet as we minister to the people of Maua, Kenya building a library and ministering to children in schools, orphanages and hospitals.
Our flight itinerary
We actually get to take two suitcases with a 50 lb weight limit each. This works out beautifully as one of my suitcases is full of gifts for the children we will minister to this week.
While I am on this amazing journey I ask that you partner with me in prayer. Many faithful friends have generously given my funding towards my travel expenses and to buy materials needed to help in our building project or things to give away to the children. All of these things are greatly appreciated- most importantly now I ask for your prayers!
Things to pray for:
1. For my 11 teammates and myself- physical, mental and spiritual strength & health.
2. For traveling mercies & safety as we are in unfamiliar territory.
3. For open doors of ministry opportunity.
4. For the Tendo Valley College where we will be building a library.
5. For the gifts of the spirit to operate in our individual lives and corporately as we labor together in God's work.
I am told I will have some access to wifi during my trip. I will do my best to keep you updated with stories and pictures!
