Mom was right when she said, "You'll meet your life long friends in college". I wouldn't trade the friendships I made at Lee University for anything in the world! The friendships I made there have turned out to be like no other. I love the reassuring fact that- no matter how much times passes between our visits, we always pick up right where we left off. Last week I had the fortune of spending a long weekend at the beach with my Senior Year roomates. We hadn't all been together in over a year, so it was fitting that upon Meredith's return to the states we would get together. Meredith has been in Korea for a year teaching English. She was dying for a trip to Myrtle Beach so that's what we arranged- little did she know I had a invited some other friends! Missy and Kim drove twice the distance we did- to surprise Meredith! Kim from NJ and Missy from MD- I think they would say the fun we had was worth the long drive! Our weekend was filled with shopping, riding the Banana Boat, lounging on the beach, the Dixie Stampede, card playing and lots of remincing!
