Jesus

I know! I know! You probably had to do a double take! I got a tattoo today- it is simply "Jesus" in Chinese Characters. 

I always said I would NEVER get a tattoo. Well my fellow teacher Amy randomly brought up the subject of tattoos as we were getting in our daily walk one recent recess. I automatically said, "You're CRAZY!""I would NEVER do such a thing!" Well NEVER SAY NEVER! Of course I started thinking about it! What would I get, where would put it? If I was going to have something on my body for the rest of my life- it had have some significance! By nature I am a conservative person- I didn't want anything flashy and I didn't want to put it somewhere were it would draw a lot of attention. After very little research and consideration I came up with the idea you see on my ankle.  I am going to China on my first mission trip in June. I wanted it on my foot because its  a descreat place and I love this scripture: Isaiah 52:7 "How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news, proclaim peace, bring glad tidings of good things, proclaim salvation, and proclaim to Zion, " Your God reigns". I had it done today on Easter Sunday- the day we celebrate our risen Lord. Call me cheesy-- but that's my story! Don't worry I've had my fix- I'm not the typical tattoo who gets addicted!
