Corey and Tim Davis' Wedding

Alison's first trip to TN to see me graduate from Lee University. One week later she graduated from UNC. One month later she married my brother.

I was honored to stand as a bridesmaid. I know I hideously embarrassed Ty as I cried - more like boo hooed!

Thanksgiving 2006
Almost 7 years ago (wow- can't believe its been that long) I gained a true friend who would eventually become my sister-in-law. Our situation is unique because our families are interconnected. Mom grew up with Alison's parents. Alison's grandparents lived literally a house down from m y grandparents. Our grandparents belong to the same church. Our grandparents play cards together and have camped and traveled together for years. I knew from the beginning that Alison was a keeper. There was something unique and genuine about her. She was the fourth and last girl my brother brought home. I knew immediately she was the one he would one day marry. I knew she was more than a brother's girlfriend- her motives were pure. She was the first and only
girl I approved of for my brother- we all know how picky sisters can be! I feel blessed daily for the relationship Alison an d I share. I appreciate the openness we share. I love our mutual obsession with I Love Lucy. I love walking the dogs with her. I love shopping with her- although she is a much dedicated shopper than I. I love our heart to heart talks. I love her sincerity. I ad mire her organizational skills, healthy lifestyle, morals, standards and views. There's nothing I don't like about her. If anything I want to be more like her. So today I celebrate Alison's birthday-
happy quarter of a century. I look forward to sharing many more birthdays.

2 summers ago- Tyler persuaded me to adopt a puppy from Craigslist. I had just completed my first successful year of teaching. Tyler had adopted a beagle/bassett hound mix a year before and convinced me I needed one. It took very little twisting Dad's arms to get him to drive me to Winston Salem to meet my new little friend. Before I saw him I named him Charlie- to match Tyler's dog's name Barley. Ironically the man I got Charlie from told me his birthday was April 21st which happens to be Alison's! Happy 2nd birthday Charlie!
